On Monday, the LGBT Network Community Center on Park Avenue in Bay Shore came crashing down, a bittersweet event for LGBT Network president and CEO David Kilmnick. But the site will have a new beginning for LGBT senior housing, expected for a move-in date of 2021.

The Bay Shore Chamber of Commerce is, once again, calling on Islip Town officials to remove the parking meters from Bay Shore’s downtown area and is circulating a petition against the “unjust” parking meter program. Islip Town says it has been flexible with the chamber.
