Enjoy the old-fashioned holiday-season festivities Nov. 30 on Main Street
As part of Small Business Saturday, Bay Shore Beautification Society and the Chamber of Commerce of Greater Bay Shore will host the annual Winter Festival that brings together many holiday-themed events, along with the opportunity to shop and stroll down Main Street. Festivities begin at 3:30 p.m. and will wrap up around 5 p.m.
Bay Shore High School Harmonaires will lead community caroling at the band shell, followed by performances by both Fifth Avenue and sixth-grade choirs. Make a point to take advantage of the opportunity to carol with neighbors.
Santa Claus and Frosty the Snowman are scheduled to arrive by fire truck on Main Street. Once it begins to get dark, the tree and menorah lighting will occur simultaneously.
Since this event is run by the Beautification Society, Light the Night kits will be on sale, too. Reminder: Light the Night is on Dec. 8.
Refreshments for the event will be supplied by Bay Shore Teachers Association and The Penny Pub
