On Thursday, Aug. 29, William Floyd schools welcomed back students in grades kindergarten through ninth grade for the first day of school. The remaining students in grades 10 through 12 had their first day of school on Friday, Aug. 30. The district welcomed back approximately 9,400 students over the two-day period with students ready and eager to learn. After a summer filled with robust programs including summer school, summer enrichment, athletic camps, music camps and more, students are ready for the 2024-25 school year.
