The William Floyd Colonials varsity football team lost 42-40 to Massapequa for the Long Island Championship on Saturday, Nov. 30, at Stony Brook University.
The Colonials were seeking their sixth Long Island Championship and to avenge last year’s Division I Long Island Championship loss to Massapequa.
The Colonials defeated Ward Melville 34-6 at Stony Brook University’s Kenneth P. Lavalle Stadium on Nov. 23, marking their second consecutive Suffolk County Championship and the 15th in program history.
