Dear Santa, please send me a home for Christmas

Local pups seek new home for the holidays

Posted

Once again, we’re reaching out to Santa and his helpers in hopes of giving two deserving pups homes for Christmas and beyond. Both are currently available at Brookhaven Animal Shelter and hoping for someone to love them.

FINN: A senior foxhound mix was surrendered by his owner when the owner could no longer care for Finn. This sweet-natured boy is very social and loves to play fetch. He is house-trained, up to date with vaccines, neutered, and needs a home without other dogs or cats.  Finn is short-haired, approximately 8 years old, smart, and knows commands like sit, stay, down, give paw.

BRANDI: A mixed breed adult female, with a brindle coat, Brandi is a friendly, affectionate, loyal, playful, short-haired sweetie just looking to be loved.

Found as a stray and brought to the shelter by a good Samaritan, she waited for a family that never came for her.  Estimated to be around 5 - 7 years old, Brandi loves to play and would do best in a home without other pets and with older children, ages 16 and up. This loving pup is outgoing, energetic, house-trained, spayed and up to date on her vaccines.

For more information, or to arrange to meet Finn or Brandi contact Brookhaven Animal Shelter, 631 451-6950 or visit the shelter at 300 Horseblock Road, Brookhaven, N Y,  Monday – Friday 10 a.m. – 4:30 p.m., Saturday and Sunday 10 a.m. – 3 p.m.
