Fall is coming!

All the backpacks are filled, and it’s the time we at Helping Makes U Happy fall in love with... working on Keith’s mega auction for HMUH!  

This year, our favorite event will take place on Saturday, Oct. 26, at the Center Moriches High School gym. Doors open at 3 p.m., prize calling begins at 6 p.m. Music provided by DJ Daddy O Entertainment. Food available for purchase—no outside food please.  For updated info please follow us on Facebook (Keith Caputo and/or Helping Makes U Happy). Donations of prize baskets and gift cards are gratefully accepted, as this is our one major fundraiser for helping local families in need throughout the year. Sponsorships are also available.

On Sept. 8, we will be showing our support for “A Night for Luca,” a fundraiser for a 1-year-old boy who is terminally ill with two neurological diseases, and his family. His dad is SCPD, and his mom was a police dispatcher.

This event will be held at the Blue Point Brewing Co. in Patchogue. Tickets are $80 per person and include food, beer, soft drinks. Raffles available for purchase. Venmo to damonmarro or @stac-rao, include names of attendees.

Just a heads-up for planning purposes—save yourself some money and come down to our annual Halloween Costume Giveaway, from 4-8 p.m. on Oct. 5, at the Brookhaven Fire Department’s open house, 10 Camp Upton Road, Shirley.  

On Sept. 14, come on down to the Chamber of Commerce of the Mastics & Shirley Food Truck/Craft Fair/Car Show from 11 a.m.-5 p.m. in the Lidl Parking lot in Shirley.  It promises to be a great time!
