Earlier this month, the Patchogue-Medford School District enjoyed welcoming students, families, administrators, faculty, and staff to the 2024-2025 school year.
This year’s district theme is “Many Stories…One Community.” The theme honors the wonderful diversity of people, cultures, and experiences, reflecting how these countless perspectives coalesce to create one unique community.
“It is always a joy to reconnect with our bright and talented scholars at the start of each school year,” said Patchogue-Medford School District Superintendent Dr. Donna Jones. “I look forward to all that we will accomplish together as a community this school year as we collaborate to provide the best experiences for our students.”
The 2024-2025 school year brings updates including a new math program and the expansion of its reading program to the middle schools. New security measures have also been added throughout the district, including vape detectors, new doors with protective locks, and portable metal detectors. In addition, the district will unveil a new website in the coming months.
