After watching the Notre Dame Fighting Irish lose against the Buckeyes, the Irish-American community could use a pick-me-up. Why not look forward to St. Patrick’s Day celebrations?
The Bay Shore-Brightwaters St. Patrick’s Day Parade Committee invites you to the 2025 Grand Marshal Ball at Captain Bill’s, beginning at 7 p.m. on March 1.
The cocktail party event with food, drinks, raffles, a 50/50 and live music will build anticipation one week prior to the Bay Shore-Brightwaters St. Patrick’s Day Parade, which will take place Saturday, March 8 at 2 p.m. through Main Street.
The Marshal Ball will honor the 2025 grand marshal, former New York State senator and current president of Suffolk OTB, Phil Boyle.
Boyle has served the Bay Shore/Brightwaters community for over 24 years, beginning his service in the NYS Assembly in 1994 through his tenure as our New York State senator in 2022.
“During his years in public service, Phil, whose office was located on Main Street in Bay Shore, always supported our community, whether through NYS grant funding to support our local parks, advocating for improvements to our state roadways, assisting local residents with issues and concerns, etc.,” shared parade secretary, Rory Allen
Currently, Boyle is the president and CEO of Suffolk County OTB. Under Boyle’s leadership, Suffolk OTB continues to fund local community organizations. Boyle is also a volunteer fireman and a member of the Division 7 Ancient Order of Hibernians.
Boyle will be presented the Grand Marshal Sash and with accolades from the community and parade committee, though the celebration extends to the entire Bay Shore/Brightwaters community.
“This cocktail/party ball is the major fundraiser for the parade allowing the community not only to show support for Sen. Boyle, but also to directly support one of the best parades on Long Island,” noted Allen.”
Attendees of the Marshal Ball can expect a cocktail party atmosphere with passed appetizers, a delicious buffet style dinner, desserts, a 50/50, multiple raffles, and live music from the very talented Tim Mooney Band.
Tickets for the Grand Marshal Ball can be purchased for $100 through checks made payable to St. Patrick’s Parade Greater Bay Shore at BSBS St. Patrick’s Parade Committee, P.O. Box 5017, Bay Shore, NY 11706; or to Annie Kane at 303 Windsor Avenue, Brightwaters, NY, 11718. Kane can be contacted at 631-965-6291 or anniekane2@aol.com with any further questions.
