The streets of Patchogue came alive with holiday cheer during the 62nd annual Patchogue Christmas Parade, organized by the Parks and Recreation Department.

This beloved tradition, which has brought joy to residents and visitors alike for decades, owes its success to the dedication of volunteers and the leadership of Maria Giustizia, the department’s director, who has been orchestrating this festive event for over 20 years.

This year’s parade showcased the community’s creativity and enthusiasm through a variety of spectacular floats and performances. Special honors were awarded to standout participants, including:

The Mayor’s Cup: Fundacion de Lucero

Most Holiday Spirit: Stage Door School of Dance

Most Original Unit: Starlite School of Dance

Best Decorated Fire Department: Selden Fire Department

Best Car Club: Model A Ford Club

Village officials who participated in the parade, including mayor Paul Pontieri, Suffolk County Legis. Dominic Thorne, and trustees Joseph Keyes, Kevin Weeks, and Lizbeth Carrillo, joined the festivities, lending their support to the event and celebrating the introduction to the holiday season.

The Patchogue Christmas Parade continues to be a testament to the village’s vibrant community spirit, made possible by the tireless efforts of volunteers and the enduring leadership of Giustizia.

Congratulations to all participants and award recipients for making this year’s celebration one to remember
